Louisa's blog - TVB Weekly

I am dressed in red with devils horns that light up. The result is quite cute and not scary.

Regretful Halloween
The festivities during special occasions is getting more livelier in HK. Besides Christmas and New Year's, Halloween is now a big hit. Not only are there decorations in the shopping malls, but there are more and more specialty stores selling Halloween things.

Last week on the eve of Halloween, my manager and I went to a shopping mall, and although we were in a hurry, we couldn't help but look inside one of these Halloween stores. Actually I've always wanted to go to a Halloween party, and be all "make-uped," but unfortunately when I was in school, it wasnt in fashion, and now every year I am working on Halloween. This year a friend had invited us to a dress up party for Halloween. I wanted to dress up in something horrifying to scare my friends, but the time did not suit, and I received a notice to film a televsion series, and couldnt escape the fate of work. Of course I was a little unhappy, so I bought a gift to cheer myself up, dressing up as a little devil to scare my work mates and other workers.

Let me tell everyone what I have been up to lately. I am now filming the new series with Sunny Chan and Krystal Tin. We are progressing like "fire and tea." We have already filmed for more than a month and look to finish by the end of December. The casting is really fresh, and my character is evil, killing her husband and mother. She is so evil that she sweats (literally). This role is really different from the roles I have played previously. It a really good experience and challenge. I think it will make your eyes sparkle.

Although I couldnt go to a Halloween party, I still wanted to go to the specialt shop to take a look.

My role in the series has the feeling of Halloween.

TVB Worst frocks

Something extra... the Worst Dressed of the Anniversary Awards. I am simply talking about the frocks.... not about the people (!!!) Overall I found the fashion to be quite acceptable, and most of the frocks, although not in the category of Best Dressed, were still really nice...just not the best.
Ok, so here's the list of those not so nicely dressed...

Kenneth Ma

Not only did he get it wrong once....but he wore two of the worse outfits of the night! The fur is already a no no (was that last century?), plus ripped jeans (would you wear ripped jeans to the Oscars?) and a plain grey t-shirt. Even Sammy Leung who wasnt present but was at the RTHK studios wore a tailored jacket and collared shirt to receive his award! Maybe he just wasn't expecting the award, so just wore whatever.

Kenneth's second outfit was just as bad...is that shirt suppose to be frilly? or is a frilled necked lizard stuck to it? and velvet pants?

Tavia Yeung

Was Tavia going to a circus party? The big red pockets and the sparkly material all made it look like Ronald McDonald's weekend outfit. I expected Tavia to wear something more elegant, like long and flowing for this award show. The only part of her dress I liked was the black trim and I liked her jewellery.

Ada Choi

The only things which I didnt like were her stockings and shoes..I didnt like the red, it clashed with the carpet as you can see...and to me, it clashed with her dress. It spoiled the outfit, because I really liked her dress, but the red just didn't go with it.

Leila Tong

Another victim of the too-casual look. Brown made her look too old. She should wear something more mature, but not too mature too, don't really like brown for an awards show, nor maroon/burgundy. I'm not too for the separate singlet and skirt number either. I think one pieces are more elegant and classy, no matter what their colour.

Yoyo Mung

Another brown victim. Her dress seemed way too big. I think she should have worn something to show off her figure. I also didn't like the neck part, she should have worn something with a low v, since she's hiding so much away. (Is she possibly hiding her and Ekin's baby bump?)

Kate Tsui

This kimono looking dress also made Kate look big. I also didnt really like the colour. It wasn't sharp, like the previous brown dresses. This dress was flowing in the wrong way. It shouldnt have been so long in this case, and should have been short, to make it look chic.

Joe Ma

As much as I think Joe is tall, dark and handsome... I don't like guys in fur! Its just wrong..... I think minus the fur, this outfit would have been quite nice, and quite unique as compared to the many, many black suits that night...the guys were being safe.... I like it how Joe also didnt go for bling.

Natalie Tong

Natalie's layering of top on dress is weird. I think she should have just gone for another dress, instead of trying to improve on that murky coloured suede number. The bow at the front, or is it just a big mess looks like a big mess. The pattern of the beige top just reminds me of a tablecloth.

Further comments...did Roger get botox..he looks way too weird, facially. And did Ron get roasted? How come he is almost as black as his hair?? Awfully burnt brown colour.
